Brandon Barker Winston Churchill by Davidoff

I decided to give this cigar a try and see if it lived up to the Davidoff name. I was very impressed with this cigar, it was more full bodied than every Davidoff that I have smoked. The size I smoked was the Chequers which is a corona extra size with a 46 ring size and 5.5 inch length. The ring size was perfect and allowed the equadorian wrapper to shine through with the full flavor that this cigar offers. It had a slight spice with the typical Davidoff sweetness to round it off with the Dominic… Continue

Brandon Barker IIllusione 888!!!

I smoked an Illusione 888 tonight and honestly forgot how good this cigar was. It was one of those cigars that was hyped up when it was released in 2007 and I wanted to smoke it again and see if it really was as good as the hype. Well, it is, it is a fabulous smoke medium to full bodied all Nicaraguan and has a lot of peppery notes to it. The ring gauge is perfect at 48 and it allows just enough wrapper to add a lot of flavor but yet enough filler to mellow it out. They double bind these cigars… Continue

Bradford Dunn Best Cigar Under $10??

Branching off from what Brandon recently posted, I was wondering what people thought were the best cigars that they've had which were under $10. I'm looking for some good bang-for-your-buck cigars. Thanks Continue

Bradford Dunn Padron 1964 Maduro Exclusivo

Pre Burn: Not one of the darkest Padron Maduros I've had but certainly oily with a sllight aroma of cocoa and coffee.

First third: Some earthy and cedary notes are present.

Second third: Cocoa notes dominate this cigar in the middle. Exceptionally smooth with an effortles draw makes this experience enjoyable.

Final third: Subtle hints of coffee are now paired with the strong cocoa notes to create one of the best tastes in a cigar - Cubans included.

Bradford Dunn 1926 Padron No. 6 Maduro

Pre-Burn: Dark, oily wrapper with few veins. Slight box press. First Third: Starts off with a kick of spice then mellows. This cigar has an easy draw. Middle Third: Some initial spice is lost in the middle but the flavor does not desist. Instead of spice, one can also taste bits of creaminess. Final Third: Spice returns yet not overbearing. This cigar can be smoked down to the finger tips. Overall, phenomenal cigar with a great flavor complexity. One of my personal favorites and certainly de… Continue

Kenney Hentschke Nestor Miranda LANCERO

I smoked the Nestor Miranda Lancero tonight 1/19/2010. Its a great smoke. I love all of Nestors cigars that he puts out. I think there all very flavorful. Its a little bit spicier then the Ruky and the bigger ring gauges but thats a given because its such a smaller size. Its got hints of chocolate and espresso. GREAT SMOKE!!! Cant wait to smoke another!! Continue

Kenney Hentschke Tatuaje Red Verocu Tubo

I smoked the new Tatuaje RED Verocu Tubo tonight and it was a fantastic smoke. We just got them in new to Tinderbox. The cigar started off with hints of espresso, chocolate, and a hint of sweetness. Not typical for Tat because there usually a little bit spicier. It buned true all the way through and ended with a little citrous flavor. Great smoke!! Continue

Bradford Dunn Montecristo Reserva Negra Corona

Pre-Burn: This cigar has an uber dark wrapper with an underlying dark chocolate aroma. First Third: Starts off a tad harsh however after the first ash, creamy notes are present. Middle Third: Best part of the cigar by far - more creaminess and the underlying dark chocolate taste comes into play. Final Third: Very smooth and the burn stays cool. Lots of flavor complexity. Corona shaped cigars generally have the proclivity to burn hot - especially at the finish. However the Reserva Negra Coron… Continue

Brandon Barker The Old Faithful!

I decided to pull out a Romeo Y Julieta from the humidor that I had purchased here about 8 or so months ago and decided to light it up. It had been a while since I had smoked one, and all the talk about the Reserve Real being the number one selling cigar in the world I decided to see what it was like with some age on it. This is a very light cigar, to change things up a little from my normal medium to full bodied cigars. It was a very mild, yet creamy cigar with slight hints of coffee and a nutt… Continue

Brandon Barker Partagas Benji Master Series!!!!

So tonight I lit up this new Partagas Benji Master series, unfortunately it is a limited addition cigar, with only 5000 boxes made. However, this cigar is by far the best Partagas that I have had in a very long time. It is hard to find a peppery, cedary, also nutty, Dominican cigar. This cigar is closer to full bodied, but very tasty to the palate. I highly suggest everyone trying this cigar before they are all gone! I can confidentally say this being my third one that I have smoked, that Benji… Continue

Brandon Barker La Flor Double Press

The la flor Double Press has been in for a few weeks now and to those that dont know anything about it here is a little overview! Anyone that enjoys a full flavored medium bodied cigar will love this one. Most people are a little afraid of the la flor product because of the double ligero which is mainly looked at as a beat you over the head cigar ( which isn't true, just full bodied) and they will not venture into the rest of their products because of it. I am smoking my second Double press righ… Continue

Darrell Boyette Casa Magna Oscuro

We have just received the much anticipated Casa Magna Oscuro! This is a very dark cigar with a slight hint of spice. It seems to be just at the full body range of flavor with very creamy undertones. We only got a third of our request. Enough for the shelf of Southpark and Arboretum so get em while you can! Continue

Brandon Barker Nestor Miranda Ruky!!!!!

I lit this cigar by toasting the small figurado foot until in opened up the draw a little. This is the second one i have smoked of this size and have to say i am very impressed. Many people have not heard of this brand and i suggest it to anyone that enjoys a medium - bodied cigar. I do have to say compared to the original honduran blend the nicaraguan has a lot more flavor along with a little more spice. For some reason the ruky size burns a lot better and seems to have a little more spice. Thi… Continue

Brandon Barker The New Cain Cigar

I have read the reviews in magazines and heard everyone raving about this cigar, well we finally got it in. We have 3 sizes in and 1 torpedo with a maduro wrapper. I am smoking the natural torpedo right now and I am very impressed. When they said it was a straight ligero they were not kidding. It is very full in flavor but yet very smooth at the same time, this cigar will please all of the regulars and anyone that enjoys a full bodied smoke. I strongly suggest anyone that is up for tasting a new… Continue
